Full Tour Programme 

Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Start your Uganda Gorilla trekking journey early enough from Kampala after having Breakfast. With the help of your tour guide, drive towards southwestern Uganda , cross the Equator in Mpigi District, then Masaka, Lyatonde via the sidelines of Lake Mburo National Park and then reach Mbarara where you will make a Lunch stop. Then after, continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park going through Kigezi Highlands with the sightings beautiful farmlands and good rolling hills until when you arrive at the gorilla forests of Bwindi. Check in at your accommodation, have dinner and overnight sleep in anticipation of the next day’s wonderful Bwindi gorilla Tracking. Overnight stay at Nshonji Gorilla Resort, Gorilla Safari Lodge or Gorilla Mist Camp on Full Board.

Day 2: Mountain Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.

A Tourist Trekking Mountain Gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.

This is the long-awaited day for the Mountain Gorilla Trekking Safari in Uganda. Wake up early enough, take a heavy breakfast and your driver guide will transfer you to the gorilla trekking briefing point near park. Upon there, you will get a short briefing by the park ranger guides about the rules and procedures of the gorilla tracking while in the forest. Then the gorilla trek starts and you will move via the undergrowth and thick creepers of the dense rain forest as you trail the rare mountain gorillas whereabouts on the day. Sitting with the most peaceful, very rare and endangered of all the apes, is a fascinating and memorable experience.

You will spend a full hour with the Mountain Gorillas and this will mark the end of your amazing gorilla tracking Bwindi safari before returning to your lodge for lunch and some resting. If you have enough time in the evening, you will have a guided village walk to nearby communities to observe and experience their cultures, traditions and lifestyles. A community or nature walk in Bwindi Forest and what to see are all determined by the gorilla family section that you would have trekked earlier in the days. Because various areas in Bwindi are blessed with different attractions besides gorillas. Overnight at Silver Back Lodge, Gorilla Safari Lodge, Gorilla Safari Lodge or Chameleon Hill Lodge on Full Board basis.

Day 3: End of the Gorilla Safari in Uganda, drive Back to Kampala

Enjoy your breakfast, drive to Kampala. You will have lunch in Mbarara and arrive in Kampala in the evening. End of the Gorilla Trekking Safari in Uganda.

About Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Bwindi  Forest was established in 1942 and later on elevated to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in 1992. In 1994, it was recognized as a world Heritage site. The word Bwindi means Impenetrable in local Rukiga language spoken by people around the park. What justifies the Impenetrable nature of Bwindi forest that the fact that it covers an area of approximately 327 km2 of thick vegetation decorated over a landscape of the sharp, puffed-up ridges plus slippery valleys and hills. The terrain of Bwindi may be hard for a trekker, but one should not forget that the challenge is what makes an African Africa Tour enjoyable and memorable. The park has a huge population of Mountain Gorillas with almost half the world number found therein. Bwindi is famous for its morning and night coldness. The coolest periods are regularly June and July, whereas the average temperature is roughly 70c-200c. When packing your safari items, please carry warm garments since the forest is so cold that it get around 2390 mm of rainfall. The area has got two rain seasons, lower rains run from March to May and for higher rains from September to November and Bwindi Rain spells take longer hours to finish.
