Kajjansi Airfield

Kajjansi Airfield is an airfield serving as an air craft flight operation, it is found in central region of Uganda. The airfield is just 20 kilometers north east of Entebbe international airport which is Uganda s largest airport and 16 kilometers south of central Kampala the largest and capital city of Uganda.

Kajjansi is found in the southern section of Kampala district. The airstrip is east of the Kampala –Entebe road, bordering swampland near Lake Victoria.

The airfield is owned and operated by mission aviation fellowship (MAF) an international Christian humanitarian relief and development organisation. Around mid of 2010 the Christian Engineering Ministries International (EMI) engineering charity redeveloped the terminal building of the airfield. The original terminal construction turn out to be the headquarters of both MAF Uganda and EMI East Africa

Kajjansi Airfield offers convenient parking and drop off next to our purpose built passenger handling facility. Everything is designed to achieve a quick and convenient check in and boarding process. Most of the safaris in Uganda starts here, one can easily fly from here to Bwindi impenetrable forest for Gorilla tracking and then fly back to Kampala, you can fly from Kajjansi to Kasese then a short drive to Queen Elizabeth national park, there is also flying from the airfield to Pakuba which is found within Murchison falls national park then flying from here to Kidepo airstrip.
